  • It's HV20, not the sharpest one around. It's not about the camera, I've explained that already, the sharpness is owing to the fact the the lens was stopped down to 4. The more you close the aperture the sharper the picture, at the cost of losing some of the shallow DOF effect. At 1.8 it will be a bit softer. Plus, the scene is well lit so you can see much of the details. Summing up, it is sharp because it was intended to be sharp. There's nothing special about the setup.

  • The camera was set to auto so it compensated the light loss automatically. The mic was lit with fluorescent equivalent of 1K so there was enough light for that. Even with aperture set to 4 'cause I was more preoccupied with getting the pic as sharp as the original rather than DOF. It's even brighter with the lens wide open, even with shallower DOF. The screen is EE-A BTW.
