This was my first day using this camcorder. I just took some shots around the house outside. The Panasonic HDC-TM700 is a Full High Definition (HD) 3MOS camcorder with 1920 x 1080 resolution. The HDC-TM700 camcorder combines 1080/60p recording. It uses an advanced 3MOS system that produces vivid, true-to-life colors and excels in darkly-lit environments. It also records both to its 32 GB* built-in memory or to an SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card and features a Relay Recording mode that automatically switches from the built-in flash memory (once it's full) to the SD card and continues recording. The TM700 offers a 35mm wide-angle Leica lens and a manual ring for creative flexibility. The high-sensitivity 3MOS system provides an effective video image pixel count of 7,590,000 pixels (2,530,000 pixels x 3) and separates the light received through the lens into the three primary colors -- red, green and blue -- processing each independently. The sensor shoots 14.2-megapixel still images (in Still Image mode) and 13.3-megapixel still images from recorded video.HD camcorder feature the newly designed, large-diameter F1.5 (46mm) Leica Dicomar lens, which provides the superb image rendering and not only suppresses ghosts and flare, but also minimizes the distortion and degradation of contrast and resolution. Its 35mm (35mm equivalent) wide-angle capability makes it ideal for many different shooting situations, such as self-portraits, group photos, and landscape shots. The 12x optical zoom lens is further enhanced by Intelligent Resolution Technology to extend the zoom to an 18x Intelligent Zoom. The Intelligent Zoom corrects image degradation in ordinary digital zooming, extending the camera's zoom ration to approximately 1.3x, while maintaining the image quality, thus delivering stunningly clear full-HD images. The bottom line is THIS CAMERA KICKS ASS !!!!

Hi @fitjedessy I have been using it for over a year now, and it is still the best camera I have ever owned.
I use it all the time 3 or 4 times a week.
Absolutely no problems what's so ever.

What video editing software did you use? I have this camera and like it, although I am having a hard time doing edits with the 1080/60p raw MTS file. I am on a Mac and there's not much software around that will allow editing of the raw file. Thanks

Hi
I use a free online software called VideoPad Video Editor Software. The company that makes it is NCH Software. It will also work for Windows or Macs.
I have also used the NCH Wave pad sound editor, which works great for editing your audio recordings. It is a trial subscription, So when it ran out and I tried to remove it from my computer there was a choice to remove or continue the free trial. I picked continue free trial and it is still running strong.Once loaded it sells for $69.95 Special.
