Yeah, I miss my equipment. It was recently stolen... If you have the money I would just buy a decent set of rails. If not, why not dedicate a couple of days to building your own? I sawed a livingroom standlight post in half, used those as rails and built the rest in wood using 2 manfrotto mounts, one for the camera and one for the tripod. Did the job.
