This patient was presented for a regular spay because the rabbit was showing behavior problems and a UTI.
According to the owner the rabbit has never been in contact with a male but at the moment of spay we found that there were mummified fetuses in the uterus.
Mummified fetuses can stay inside of the uterus for a very long time not causing any problem other than prevent further pregnancies.
It is always advisable to spay your female pet.
Always consult your veterinarian for the best care for your pet.
How can u test for this in a rabbit? I have a bunny witch former owner atempted to breed and said the doe would not exsept the buck. I am planning on spaying her but it might take some time ti raise the money. How could I tell if she had mumifide babies? How commune is this?
