Tuesday, March 9th marks the first day that same-sex couples in the District of Columbia were able to marry. At a ceremony at the Human Rights Campaign headquarters, three couples married in consecutive ceremonies.

First, Angelisa and Sinjoyla, followed by Reggie and Rocky, and finally Darlene and Candy.

  • I am the mother of an adolescent lesbian. I pray things get better for her and all gay youngsters. I hope she can marry and have a family if she chooses. I believe this is a step. Congrats to you all. Very sweet videos.

  • I am a lesbian, that is why I searched this topic on youtube. I will never understand why someone who is against something so strongly sits quietly hidden behind the screen of their computer and then comments on something they know nothing about. save your hateful comments for a sarah palin video where you can find a whole host of people who give a crap about what you have to say. Thank you D.C. for your progress in this country!

  • They're all so cute! <3 Haters gonna hate; lovers gonna love. ;)

  • wow!! at least the last couple kissed propery, the others behaved like each other got bad breath.

  • @TamilianPonnu All unprotected intercourse carries a high risk of disease. Choose a scientific argument or a religious one, you can't have it both ways. Cite the studies and I'll tell you what I think, but I bet you can't back up your argument.

  • ok, you guys can fight back and forth all you want. For those christians who frown down at marriages like this and for gays and allies who hate them for it. Im both gay and christian, what truly matters when I see this is two people in love. Its love, theyre in love, and love has no labels. its the most powerful thing in the world, and its happiness. Theyre happy, and in love thats whats important. When it comes down to it, it doesnt matter what what gender. You cant deny those things
