sounds like one of his mics on the kick went out...

Is it just me, or does the double bass sound a bit off at the biginning?

This is a horrible performance.

Yeah this is actually 2003, not 199-fuckin-9. This is great though because this is around the time I first saw them live and Mikael looks just exactly the same as he did as everyone else.

I think it sounds fine. This is one of my favorite songs though.

im sorry dude, i fucking adore opeth, but this is a performance they probably aren't very proud of...
-
@peroslowned Dude, it was 1999. They only just started to actually GET somewhere.. geez... stop making a big deal
-
@rlevanony no, Jesus Christ = Mikael Akerfeldt. Get it right!
-
To any of you saying this version sucks, you're used to the polished CD version. You're not paying attention to the music behind the perfection. So fuck off, you just don't get it.

@Cannibal666Corpse You do realize that just because your recording sounds bad, that doesn't mean that that's how it sounded in the theater, right? Opeth is not for people who just want to bang their heads for an hour. It's music for a more.... how do I say this, intelligent metal fan. But bands like Cannibal Corpse have their place on the ladder of talented metal bands too, I guess.

Mikael = Jesus Christ

Though I could not leave this place on this imminent day...
Totally!
The best part, completely beautiful.
Hail to all
Opeth are a great band. If they suck live, that´s another matter.
They´re very technical and classical at the same time. Without good PA´s or good acoustic, sound will always be shittier, unless they perform an expensive gig.
This video, and those I upload, are just to show some of my preferences in terms of metal, not to be the best of captures or whatever.
Hasta
