  • What works MUCH better is a piece cut from an aluminum can as a strip.

    Simply insert the aluminum strip in place of the pin.

    Shape the aluminum strip to a point and back to the width needed.

    Insert the aluminum and push in just a bit, to get it past the ratchet.

    Now you can carefully pull it apart.

    The advantage over the pin is that it will self align, what you need when this is behind your back.
