  • The horn trills at 3:06 and 3:18!!!

  • The sync between audio and video in this excerpt is way off--audio is ahead by around a second. Is the released DVD correct, I hope?

  • Never heard this played by an orchestra before. Wonder who made the arrangment? (the King's Hunting Jigg by John Bull)

  • Thanks for uploading this old great recording! I wonder which orcestra had the first recording :-?

  • All those beautiful bow holds - no claw grips like today. Barbirolli was a great conductor. Kreisler said he was the best accompanist. Got to see him often in Houston near the end of his career. TY

  • Quelle virtuosité!

  • Great conductor and orchestra. Lived in Boston 1971-80. Up to today have witnessed a gradual change in the musical world (and the world, in general, of course.). Despite the marvelous musicians in orchestras today, little remains of the values, style and tradition of that illustrious, former era. So it goes.

  • 2:43 - very nice faking in the basses
