yes you get a weapon, but u should save it, you will really need it. The game is very good and I agree with FumoffuPanic2.

like seriously...
i'm a HUGE silent hill freak i replay all the oldies all the time
but the problem with this one is that its gotten to action oriented it doesn't focus on the psychological survival horror that it was intended on by Akira Yamaoka himself...
but i'm still gonna buy it though...cause i'm a sucker for horror games....thats just my personal feeling on the subject i would like to add that the American versions of Silent Hill always relate to Silent Hill 2... =(

If there is weapon to have I believe once spend the game to yourself, I not since there are obtained because I do not have the game but is the well-read one that if that exists
