I just came onto this commercial and I have to confess, I don't like the new logo either. It just doesn't seem right for Stop & Shop. It would have been better had they kept the traffic light.
I know the reason -- Royal Ahold folded Giant of Maryland into the Stop and Shop chain. Since they went ahead and did that, they should've converted the littler Giants to regular Stop & Shops and the bigger Giants to Giant Shop & Shops!

Stop & Shop is an okay store to shop at, but I don't like their new logo. Bring back the traffic light.
