Interesting...that picture is totally different from my interpretation of this movement. When I listen to it I think of a cold sunny day right after a snowstorm, with the ground covered in snow.

Pory roku są zawsze na swoim miejscu, tylko człowiek plącze się w interpretacjach, dla mnie w środku zimy Vivaldiego jest najbardziej pastelowe lato jak marzenie o przejażdżce do letniego dworku, istna sielanka, a na końcu lata najostrzejsza zawierucha, prawdziwa zima stulecia. Taka kwintesencja życia w kontrastach mniejszych i większych, tak płynnych, że nie sposób ich ogarnąć, Vivaldi spróbował i fajnie mu wyszło :)

I like how different orchestras who play these Baroque masterpieces like to ad-lib in the music, like everyone doesn't necessarily use a harpsichord like they do here
