Meet the Robinsons Walkthrough Part 25 - The Inner Sanctum - Prometheus

This is the second to last part of the walkthrough, the second to last part of the game, and also the second to last boss. I'm going to do an overview of how to beat it in this description, so here it is:

AREA:
You are standing on a big, circular floor. There is a huge pool of lava consuming most of the platform. On the edge is....well, an edge. (Prometheus stays standing inside the pool of lava for the whole boss fight.) There are four lines of chains laying on the ground, from the edge to the pool of lava. They are equally seperated...you will see what I mean when you watch the video.

ATTACKS:
Left Fist Ground Slam
Right Fist Ground Slam
Double Fist Spin Attack
Fire Spray

LEFT FIST GROUND SLAM:
Prometheus will lift up his left fist (the one on Wilbur's right) and will slam it down the ground. The way to avoid it is, when you see Prometheus lift it up, immediately start running to the left (because, remember, his left fist is on your right and you don't want to be Wilbur pancake). When it comes down, rocks will start falling from the ceiling. If the fist hits you, congrats, you are Wilbur pancake and you have to start over. If he misses you, congrats, you are NOT Wilbur pancake. Keep reading to find out what to do next.

RIGHT FIST GROUND SLAM:
Prometheus will lift up his right fist (the one on Wilbur's left) and will slam it down the ground. The way to avoid it is, when you see Prometheus lift it up, immediately start running to the right (because, remember, his right fist is on your left and you don't want to be Wilbur pancake). When it comes down, rocks will start falling from the ceiling. If the fist hits you, congrats, you are Wilbur pancake and you have to start over. If he misses you, congrats, you are NOT Wilbur pancake. Keep reading to find out what to do next. NOTE: There is really not any difference between the Left and Right Fist Ground Slams, besides which fist he slams on the ground.

DOUBLE-FIST SPIN ATTACK:
Prometheus will raise up both of his fists and slam them on the ground. You will not get hurt by this first movement unless you are standing directly on the side of him. In most circumstances that is impossible. But anyway...this is where the edge comes in. Immediately, when you see him slam his fists on the ground, run back to the edge and try to fall off. Wilbur will automatically grab onto it. Prometheus will start spinning, and his fists will sweep the whole platform multiple times. If you are on the edge, you won't get touched. If you are the on the platform, you are now Wilbur pancake. When he is done spinning, press up on the control stick (or press the "forward" command on whatever thing you are using) to climb back on the platform, and continue with the game.

FIRE SPRAY:
Prometheus will spray some fiery goop from his mouth onto the ground. (If you touch it, you are not Wilbur pancake. You just lose some health.) Run from it to avoid it. Simple as that. NOTE: Prometheus will ONLY do this attack after being damaged.

HOW TO SORT OF DAMAGE PROMETHEUS:
After a Left Fist or Right Fist Ground Slam, rocks will fall from the ceiling. Two big rocks will always land in the lava pool. Run over to one of them (it doesn't matter which) and use your lev-ray to levitate them. Then use the havoc gloves to propel it toward Promotheus, and if you did it right, Prometheus will get hit. After this, he will do his fire spray. NOTE: Doing this attack multiple times does not kill Prometheus. See the next section, How To Kill Prometheus, to see how to kill prometheus. (Duh.)

HOW TO KILL PROMETHEUS:
After you have "damaged" the monstrous replication of a Greek mythological titan (oops I went off on a tangent) then he will do his fire spray. Try to get him to spray it on one of the chains. If the fiery goop touches a chain, it will turn it orange. If the fire spray touches an orange chain, the chain will break. The goal of the fight is to break all four chains, which apparently hold a big rock above Prometheus' head. ...But if the chains aren't there anymore, what happens to the rock? Yay! We now have Prometheus pancake.

It's the console version. I played this on a Gamecube, but it's exactly the same on the PS2. (Didn't I already answer that question for you on the Mega-Doris part...?)

I remember passing this level once, but it took me ages. How come I never thought of hanging on the edge?

There are 2 ways to avoid spin attack 1 hang on the cliff and 2 go underground (with havoc gloves)
