Israel could not possibly occupy "Palestinian territory" for the simple reason that it is a misnomer.

Simply, the term Palestine refers to the province established by the Romans on the land of Israel/Judea.

The word "Palestine" is foreign to Arab speakers. They have hard time to pronounce the "Pa". Yes, it is a hidden fact - Arabs have hard time saying "Pa", like Americans struggling with with "Ra", "Xe", and "Sche".
