Die New Orleans Syncopators Live im Cubeaudio Tonstudio in Göttingen.
tp: Christian Rien
cl: Peter Prause
tb: Holger Renneberg
dr: Wolfgang Jordan
p: Achim Pils
bjo: Peter Morgenstern
sous: Jochen Beyer

This video was made by Götz and Thomas (you can see Thomas during the first few seconds standing near Peter M., our banjoplayer), the guys at the cubeaudio studio, where we recorded our third CD.
Götz was so kind to give me the right to post the video here. (Thank you, Götz!)
They use it at their website (www.cubeaudio.de) at the podcast, where they explain some sound engineering problems (and their solutions) to an interested audience. They do an audio comment about the microphones and the technique, they have used for recording us, so it could be quite interesting to visit their site. But the comment is in german, I´m afraid. Perhaps you can ask them for an English translation.

I hope you enjoy our music!

  • My word,, this is funny alright!

The New Orleans Syncopators have been one of my favourite Dixieland Bands for decades and I have always thought that they-together with the Dutch Swing Collega Band-were the two best Dutch bands there ever were..

It wasn't until this very moment that I discovered that the players were German. Well, guys, you do play very well and from the mouth of a truly Dutch person you can consider this a big compliment :-)

  • @19Freedom41 Hello.

You were right with your thought that the New Orleans Syncopators are a Dutch Jazzband.

There are at least two Bands with that name: the one you (and me) consider as one of the best Dutch Jazzbands and the one I play with in Germany and in this video.

    Greetings,

    Holger
