It is good to hear that OUR SCHOOL is on its way to its OWN STATUS!!! I have never been a follower but instead tried to be a leader as I was shown the way when I attended "DOMINGUEZ". High School was a very happy stage of my life and I attribute that to the fact that Dominguez gave me a "varied" look at life. "GO DONS"

As an Alummus of Centennial Hi,I truly feel "at one" with Dominguez &Compton Hi. I attended a "Band Competition" final TODAY, that involved schools in So Cal. Unfortunately, Compton &Centennial were not represented. I'm an alumnus of Centennial but I marveled at the discipline&focus of these kids today. I see the same discipline in our children despite GREAT odds. We need more support to pull kids in. Compton Unified should come together &compete with the "outside word." Instead of in-fighting!

you should come visit Dominguez and the band sometime, you'll be surprised to hear that Dominguez has moved up in class to an AA rateing, this style we do on the streets has impressed many Judges in many parades and this SCSBOA might not like it but in our own style, the Dons Rock The House!!!

Its a list of music in "difficulty" from C list music for Jr. High School bands to AA list of music for those high schools like Los Alamitos or Los Altos or the best one ever..Arcadia High School. They are the one who get to play at inaguration of the new president at D.C. Try to get to a competition and you will see. These bands are GREAT! Dominguez can be better but like I said before.They are on the streets and thats better than nothing. Unfortunatley bands can't stop and perform. Got 2 March

well im not sure wat that list is but ill look it up .. i mean your rite about skoo sprit but how come bands in scsboa are playin new stuff??....wat are the types of music that they only let u play???

In the SCSBOA, they force a music group to play from a certain list of music. The list that one picks from is a formula that they have come up with. It goes by the size of school and experience that the ban has had in the past. The list of music is long but unfortunetly not varied. I wish you all the luck in the world in your quest. By the way.Dominguez is in Compton,right on the border with Paramount. Anything that shows off school pride is great, thats why I'm proud that they hit the streets.
