Been shooting this bow for over a year.. I left it strung "unknowingly" for several months, then un-strung and and have re-strung and shot it for over a year afterwords and the thing has held up perfectly fine. It's a great bow for the price, but it isn't made in America so ... I'm going to get a Bear and use this as a back-up but I'd have no problem taking a deer with this bow. I just bought a low poundage version to train with and will be upping my draw weight for hunting, but no regrets.

No, this review was before I developed a good form. Now I draw, anchor for a good moment and shoot. Its not to much weight just bad shooting technique.

@jake8542
As I said with one of the other comments, this review was done when I first got the bow and hadnt developed a great form. Now im able to hold the string back for a moment and then release. I do anchor

can you shoot off the hand with this bow?

@TheMHandDSfan This recurve like many others has a cut into the riser that's called a shelf. That is where you shoot the arrow off of.
