By the way, Nina Simone popularized the song Lilac Wine. She was one of Buckley's faves, as you probably know. AV's subconscious keyed in the idea of someone swimming up from the Gulf of Mexico to the Missisippi with regard to the theme of the song -- something Buckley never wrote about -- though he had his political side, too.

Pffttttttttt......is he kidding? Or does he think he's Jeff Buckley, certainly "borrowed" enough from him (lilac wine) ....and what's with the title "Plymouth Barracuda" a barracuda is a sea (ie. salt water) fish and he's singing about swimming in the river....
