http://www.TheAmericanDishTV.com : FOX has demanded a rate increase of more than 50%. An increase this large would force DISH Network to pass these costs on to its customers, which DISH is unwilling to do during these tough economic times.
It's not only the Fox Sports that is blocked, but FX & National Geographic are also not available thru DISH. I love shows like Sunny in Philly and The League, and it would be a definite dealbreaker for me if I can't get FX as part of my programming. If DirecTV pulled this nonsense, I would drop them like a bad habit!
@perrymason1It is the "programmers/owners" not the program deliverers (cable, DISH, DIRECTV) that set the prices and keep causing our bills to go up and up and up.
Contracts are fulfilled at different times with different companies and thats when negotiations start. also keep in mind the relationship between News Corp. and Directv.
FOX wants dish to give them fair compensation for their programming, they dont want customers to pay more. FOX getting fair compensation for its content doesnt mean customers have to pay extra (unless dish screws them).
and how does receiving all the FOX Sports channels on dish result in fewer choices?
get the facts and then cancel dish and get DIRECTV folks.
@stevewgraham
He would be doing only you a favor. So you can go suck it.
FOX is entertaining, but it sucks.
