This is an Esso commercial from the USA in the early 1960's or late 1950's. Rex Marshall who was the voice of Esso does the ad. Love the line, "Put a Tiger in your tank".
I do hope there is a planet far away with cat-esque beings who drive big, old-style cars and also drink carbonated beverages and also have an Monarch who drives a car that looks like an 1980s-era lamborghini. Also, cute, adborable commercial. I love it.
Rex Marshall was a veteran announcer who represented many products during the '50 and '60s, including Auto-Lite spark plugs and batteries (on "SUSPENSE") and Instant Maxwell House coffee in the mid-'50s. "Put A Tiger In Your Tank" was Esso's most successful slogan, right through the end of the '60s. When they changed the company's name to EXXON in 1973, they brought the "Tiger" back to publicize it, in a famous commerical surrounded by other famous advertising icons...
This commercial was very likely from around the Fall of 1964. In June 1964, print ads using the same three selling points referred to the product as "Power-formula Esso Extra gasoline." By October 1964, print ads were referring to it as "High-energy Esso Extra." That same moniker and pitch continued well into 1965.
Gas pump depicted would suggest mid- to late '60s

it was Esso in the Eastern U.S. and Enco in the central and west. The same ad was modified for the Enco markets.

@fromthesidelines I remember those icons celebrating the name change of Esso (or Enco, if you were in the midwest) to Exxon.
