Wonderful video, when I worked years ago at a california radio station I met an older man in 1969 who had played for Schmidt in concert he was a pianist from Hungary and knew Schmidt very well, he said he was shy and not very happy by then but the over tones in his voice do not come through the way they did live, still for the mid 30's it sounds great. Cantor Goldberg gave me a tape of Schmidt's private cantorial singing from 1934 in Israel it was wonderful to hear, thanks for this.
