  • Get the comfrey root BOCKING 14, it is a version that won't spread so easily.

  • In response to 'containing' Comfrey in the garden: You could try the mint trick I like to use, plant Comfrey in a pot/'container' underground. Also, if Comfrey is taking over your yard, I think the plant is sending you a message...meditate on it.

  • Please dear, how are you containing your comfrey? It does expand by root and seed true? For example, are you surrounding it with black plastic, pruning before it sets seed, etc... Thank you :-)

  • I believe that comfrey is very prolific. I only have a small gaeden. is it wise to grow or will it take over the limited space that I have? please advise

  • on second look ....you may be promoting officianalis which is the not so safe comfrey, as your flowers look yellow...or perhaps they are just dead? ....either way...not a good film.

  • First of all....You should not be promoting symphytum officianalis...secondly you are not .......what you are showing is symphytum uplandica! officianalis has yellow flowers and the purple is uplandica ...which is btw the safe comfrey. you really need to learn your stuff before promoting to people who are taking your word for it.

  • Gee, I didn't know Comfrey was so good!!!!

I have been trying to kill my plant for years, and it keeps on coming back! Thx for the info.

  • I get annoyed by all the talk of comfrey causing liver damage or cancer. I love making comfrey fritters with eggs from my freerange chooks - fantastic, cheap, nutritious meal that only costs a few cents for some flower, salt, pepper and milk. Go Comfrey!!!
