Kiss and Mayhem

Yeah dudes. I know Kiss is not tr00 black metal and not comparable and blahblah. Whatever. Mayhem saw Kiss and thought they could make that to corpsepaint, face it. And then this show is quite suitable for some chillout downtempo Mayhem. Enjoyed making it. So what's your point again?

Footage of Kiss, shot in Nijmegen, Netherlands in june 2008. Since the quality of sound was terrible, I decided to accompany it with Mayhem's Illuminate Eliminate. And it fits quite well.

KISS was protested against for years in the 70's for being satan (look it up). If you want to say Mayhem is the 1st to be "evil" you're dead wrong! They are merely copycats of bands from the past....KIss, Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, Marylin Manson, Black Sabboth etc. etc. This "I'm a deathly scary fuck" HAS been done over and over again. Mayhem brings NOTHING new to the table ,,,same old same old. Except they'll be broke up blowing men for $5 and KISS will still be making BANK!!!

Everybody likes to rag on KISS. Have been for like 40 years now. Paul Stanley calls his mansion "the house that bad reviews built". But in the end KISS has won them all out. KISS has gone farther and done more than pretty much ANY band EVER! despite those bad reviews and yours. Face it...they are legends! Their wont be ANY band for a long long time (if ever) that did what they did! Period! Especially unknowns like Mayhem! Keep hating and they'll CONTINUE to make history despite it all.

@DuNordavind Amen to that, and even if people wanted to make a co-relation, Mayhem doesn't even use corpse paint anymore, none of the original black metal bands do. Bands that still do it are copying Dead if anything, Kiss just doesn't even come to mind!

@Zupazwami Mayhem has a far superior stage performace (except wacken 2011 lol), and musically of course Mayhem is better. But I don't think that Mayhem ever tries to take stuff from Kiss, they are a lesser band.
