I'm sorry, people. But after witnessing the Blair Witch Project phenomenon, which is easily the best horror movie ever made, I simply cannot, CANNOT watch a similar movie, especially since it doesn't really bring anything NEW to the table, and the acting really SUCKS. If there was no BWP, MAYBE I would have considered it interesting. I don't see a lot of people comparing it to BWP, and that kind of makes me think not a lot of you HAVE SEEN it. Go watch BWP. Alone, at night. The Ring is #2 for me

Finally someone mentions The Ring as being incredibly life-altering for a few days after watching. Definitely one of the classic horrors and best of it's kind.

We don't need digusting crap to scare us. Mindfucks can, and will always be scarier.

I never understood why The Ring didn't catch on that well... Never ever. It's my absolutely favorite artistic horror movie, and probably the best one ever made, even if it has a few flaws... But you said it right. Life altering. But not just for a few days I will never look at a Japanese maple the same way again. It's an absolute classic. But BWP is my favorite horror movie per se.

haha i watched this with a friend and we laughed the whole time. it was hilarious! its not that scary, especially since half the time you can't see what's happening. i heard the 2nd was a lot scarier though. and the 3rd one looks a ton better.
