How to decrypt the iOS4 Root File System

You will need to download and extract iOS4 firmware for your device,
so simply go to this website below to download the firmware:

http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

Once downloaded copy it to your desktop or wherever is easy to access, and then rename the extension
from .ipsw to .zip and then extract it and copy that folder to "C:\vfdecrypt".

Also one last note the file you want to decrypt is the biggest .dmg file usually around 247MB to 350MB etc the other two files are the "Update Ramdisk" & "Restore Ramdisk" those can't be decrypted with vfdecrpyt (I'll probably show that in another video!)

Command to use in Command Prompt (For VFDecrypt):

vfdecrypt -i (inputfile) -o (outputfile) -k (key)

I believe you either use a type of brute force or you would how to fig out the key by code (HEX) i big pain in the a-hole!! i did 4.3.4 tho! took some time i will admit!
