when your playin with the ebow can you only play notes on the same string?

The way the Ebow works is it targets one string area with some sort of feedback circuitry so yes you do turn it into a monophonic instrument..but with infinite sustain hence the partials and cool overtones you pickup...but I've seen on Youtube people playing legato licks bouncing from string to string like a violin bow...

balatakayo8,have you ever tried to play blues with this guitar?i really need to know it because am planing to buy one.and your steinberger made in USA?

@nuaurea , mine is a Korean made ( Spirit series) It;s no strat or Les Paul, stock pickups are mediocre, never actually played a real graphite US made model..I'm sure that's a different animal altogether..I bought it really for campfire / travel setup.. it's light and small...it's still a lot of fun to play for certain things..blues, well, ..you'd probably reach for another axe at somepoint...;-)
