I own a few 03's. They are outstanding. I also own a M98. It is truely a great rifle. I will admit the sights kind of suck though. I love both and will continue to shoot both. I think both are very accurate. Just the sight on the m98?

Great glad you got one. For prone shooting try a sling, used the right way with a shooting

jacket you can make your prone position as stable as a rock. Look on the Civilian Marksman Ship web sight and you can get info on shooting and also the Army Marksman Unit sight for

great help on match shooting. They are the best. I dont even have an 03 I jest use the name.

I wish I did, I have a Kimber 82G .22 match rifle I got from the CMP that will put 5 bullets in one small hole at 50 yards.

30-06 150gr kicks worse than both the Mosin and K98.

After shooting ought 6, trust me you cant understand why anyone would say 8mm Mauser kicks like a mule.

Even the Yugo 196gr loads are milder in recoil compared to 7.62x54R.

@canadianglock22 He's just saying that because it was in a Call of Duty game. The springfield is superior, it shoots a larger bullet and is a pound to a pound and a half lighter, and the springfield has a higher muzzle velocity.

I've killed over 50 deer with a '03, some really nice bucks too, a great rifle. I have another that was made in 1909...needs a new barrel though.
