kosher salt does not impart a bitter flavor to foods as does "table" salt which has iodine added to it. It is a pure natural salt which can be bought easily in any grocery store. Most chefs use this product.

@AspLode Because the word Kosher in this sense has not thing to do with religious predilections... It has to do with the fact that in this case, "Kosher" has to do with the act of Koshering...
