I used a turndown myself and tried a side turnout...I found that using a "resonator tip" 18"-22" long makes a HUGE difference in sound and flow. After the muffler...add 10" of pipe....then weld on you tip...it should be a 3" in and 3.5" out. Slant cut non rolled edge.
