Short clip featuring a pan of Herne Bay's lost Victorian pier. Sadly it doesn't start from the entrance or show the 1970s 'Cowshed' Pavilion but maybe that's a good thing!

It's from the closing sequence of a terrible French film supposedly released in 1977, titled 'Blue Jeans' and 'Prime Tentazioni' in Italy.

The poorly produced film was shot on celluloid in 1976 with a limited budget, but doesn't appear to have been ever released properly with rips of bad quality Secam VHS tapes in existence.

Note that the pier was closed (considered dangerous) at this time, yet a film crew and children were on it. How does that go un-noticed?

The film makers stayed in my family's former business - the Dolphin Hotel (now the ruined Dolphin Court) and used my aunt, Jane Weldon and her friend Sarah Vaughan as the featured English girls. My grandfather - Dennis Weldon, would of been furious had he known!

Note we are still researching the current copyright holder of this title, as the original holder is no longer registered in business, however this short clip is provided here as low quality new media for educational or historical research and may not be taken for commercial use.
