Many churches condemn the active use of the gifts of Holy Spirit as the influence of Satan. This may seem laughable but Jesus Himself said that those who blaspheme the Holy Spirit (i.e. equate His work with the work of satan ) will never be forgiven. This is the sad situation of most churches and denominations

there are today over 650 million tongue- speaking baptized in the Holy Spirit believers.
Cessationism has one main cause: church leaders who do not move in the gifts of the Spirit do not want their flocks to do so.

@pastrptr , check out the vineyard usa web site and i think it can take you over to Vineyard music or something like that which would have the teachings of J. Wimber. Or find a link to it.

Thank you for this post. I am a pastor in Maryland experiencing God move in wonderful new ways in our church. John has a very non-religious way that he teaches truth and is personally helping me get re-centered in my views and theology of spiritual happenings. Where did you copy these teachings from? Are there more talks available today? Thanks for any help you can give me.
