If a public official doesn't want to be videotaped, what is he hiding? If he can't even submit to some questions and/or being taped on the record, something's definitely wrong. If the guy isn't abusing his power, what's wrong with being recorded? I like this guy's phrase. On the job DOES mean on the record.

You're absolutely right on both points. That's why I support these vigilant grassroots efforts.

[...] unless of course these law enforcement agencies are operating above the law with their surveillance programs [...]
They demonstrably have been and are.
"[...]in which case they should be struck down by the Supreme Court. "
Fat chance. The SCOTUS is on the take too. They're part of the problem, not part of the solution -- ever since Marbury v. Madison.

The government surveils people all the time. They put cameras in traffic lights, police cars and even store fronts in some towns (at least over in England, but I would suppose that it happens here too).
I say the public has every right to follow suit and tape the police officers, unless of course these law enforcement agencies are operating above the law with their surveillance programs, in which case they should be struck down by the Supreme Court.

Yeah, I've been wondering about that too.
I like that! On the job, on the record!

Yes, sir. I like that. They are performing a public duty therefore they should have NO expectation of their actions being private.
If you are on the job, you are on the record. THUMBS UP!!
