@pwk22 I don't know. In those days I didn't have multitrack equipment so I used the pingpong method. After a while I couldn't possibly tell how many overdubs I had done.
I really like it. It reminds me of the version on my sister's vinyl LP which I used to listen 20 times a day when I was young in Hungary behind the iron curtain in the 70's.

@FrequentFlyer62 I can tell you why: I kept singing more and more backing vocals until it sounded like the original version :-)
