  • lol this conductor makes me smile!! i love how he is so serious in his music, then has a toothpick to conductl

  • Every time I hear this movement, I think of the massacre on the Odessa steps from Sergei Eisenstein's film "The Battleship Potemkin".

  • je ne men lasse plus d écouter.j ai un coffret de 50cd.je decouvre depuis 2ans.

  • @DeliciousManager

    Specifically @ 3:58...it's faded out :(

  • this is superb stuff.there is a brass band version of this, and it is very hard.the most difficult baritone part ever written???????

  • In the minute 2:45 the editing is not where it has to be (is showging a detail of the drum but is the most emotional moment maybe)

  • super!!!! *_*

How can 3 silly people don't love this ?

  • @TTosssen point of interest, 1957 is NOT the distant past.

  • @Nuker1337 It actually does depict a massacre! You're right on. Just in case you haven't found out, it depicts the Russian Revolution of 1905 (hence the work's subtitle "The year 1905") in which the government massacred a crowd of demonstrators in what became known as Blood Sunday.

  • @TTosssen Ancient?!?! This was composed in 1957!
