After several requests regarding ways to improve manual / visual landings I present the viewer with this easy, likely not truly realistic, option.

  • @Ram256PL just reduce throttle and make sure you get the speed high enough so you wont stall and at the same makes sure it's fast enough so that you won't land before the runway, keep an eye on your altitude and decent rate. You can also use the " [ " key to open a new view in your upper left corner and then you change the view to spot view. So therefore u can see your aircraft's actual slope and from the cockpit you can control the descent rate ;)

  • The best way to land is doing an ILS approach, and then turn off the Auto Pilot and flare the plane yourself. Then Youll get it perfect every time! :)

  • @bitchXxXslap Press Shift+3

  • I have to show this video to my friends because they are jealous of my visual landing.

  • How did you get the GPS in the virtual cockpit

  • Good video im a real world pilot and this is a good way to get started. I would like to add that I see a lot of ppl on approach already flying at landing speed with the nose high, this is a big no no not only are u unable to see the runway but the plane is flying almost at stall speed and the controls of the plane are dumbed very dangerous. The plane should be at landing speed right at the inner marker no sooner if ATC says go around the plane will have enough speed to climb right away

  • I might add that the entire approach path that you are going to take should be worked out in your mind at least 20 miles out, if not thirty.

  • @dan91398 I have, but it doesn't really work.

  • @Ram256PL Use flaps??

  • how to make the aircraft descend so smooth while doing visual approach?
