Yes it is the worlds smallest bird species, more than 150 species are found only in the America's. They can fly forward, backwards, straight up or down and hover. They eat nectar and insects and at night they lower their heart beat to less than 50 beats per minute so their fast metabolism also goes down. Amazing little birds that will soon be starting their 3,000 mile migration to Mexico and the Caribbean.

AWESOME! i actually once brought a hummingbird back to life(2 in total) my cat keeps catching them! but the first one i brought back to life knocked into my window!
