Reagan actually served the US Army but not in combat but helping to train soldiers..his units had produced some 400 training films for the AAF

It seems that the only people who want to make a big deal about military service among presidential candidates are Democrats. Yet when given a choice between voting for war heroes like McCain, Dole, or Bush 41, they voted for a candidate who didn't serve and a draft dodger. Do you Democrats really believe what you are saying? You'd have to go back 60 years to find a Republican nominee who didn't have any military service. Dewey was too young for WWI and too old for WWII.

Dispite wheather or not President Reagan served in the militairy he was and is the greatest president this country has ever known.
-
Uh, no. Reagan was 30 years old when the war started. Most guys his age were hitting the beaches in the Pacific while Reagan was partying in Hollywood.
Reagan's hagiographers have tried to claim that Reagan couldn't serve because of his eyesight. Total bullshit. Harry Truman's eyesight was much worse than Reagan's & Truman served honorably in combat in World War I.
Did you know that Reagan demanded to be commissioned an officer becasue he took Reserve correspondence courses in the 1930s?
-
He was too old and his eyes where bad fuck face. He couldn't join so he made instructional videos for military equipment.
-
Yes, that's the story Reagan's hagiographers want you to believe. Compare Reagan to a real patriot like Harry Truman who's vision was much worse than Reagan's and who volunteered to serve in World War I. Reagan had taken some correspondence courses for the Reserves and felt he should be commissioned as an officer because of it. He was never willing to just enlist. He ended up making propaganda movies.

he was excluded from overseas service cuz of his nearsightedness but served during the war. u make him seem like hes out partying and doing blow like obama
-
yea umm....No one said he didn't serve. Like John Wayne, Reagan spent the war making movies in Redwood City while most guys his age were hitting the beach in places like Guadacanal, Normandy and Okinawa. Might wanna check that out, bozo.
-
yea umm...he actually did serve in the military....might wanna check that out bozo
