I can't believe I just read a "fan" say he/she would have preferred John Cena in the role, lol. There is more than height. Cruise is a more than capable actor (see: Born on the Fourth of July, Collateral, Magnolia, Minority Report). Cena is inept as an actor.

Oh my god, why Tom Criuse as Jack, he is too small. In a book Jack Reacher is a big, muscular, military, male men. I'm very disapointed!

Yeah, it's a good scene, one that only Cruise could've pulled off. In one of the books ("Gone Tomorrow" I think) Reacher clearly states that "Crowds are bad. I can't hide in crowds, I stand too much out"
- I still want to see the movie, though...
