There has been some discussion about alternate tunings. I have been practicing this song on an off for quite some time now and I thought about posting it . Still not perfect by far but it is a very fun song to play. The tuning is officially DADGAD but on the record (Led Zeppelin 1) Jimmy Page lowered all the strings by half a step so the results is C#,G#,C#, F#,G#,C# which I did for the video. This song was origianlly made by Bert Jansch who took it from a traditionnal Irish song.

I would appreciate any comments

  • sorry to bother you but i have a question: so is dadgad not the same as C# G# C# F# G# C#? is dadgad like half a step down? or is C# G# C# F# G# C# half a step down? or is dadgad like on and a half step down? please awnser if you have the time! thank you! :)
