@SacredSocietyAP Demonstrating the STOL effect of the Jaguar. Has a fast landing speed and the motorway which wasn't quite completed may not have the standard length required for this. The possible sales value of this was enormous during the cold war. The parachute is released by the pilot after landing and a new one is put in by groundcrew before the mext takeoff. May not have needed it for return to base.
