  • Yes! I wonder if Volkswagon would ever make a diesel-electric plug-in hybrid === awesome

  • If you want a diesel electric hybrid wait until Ford starts selling the Reflex (not the Flex.)

    Emissions standards in the USA vs EU don't depend on how 'we build our cities.' I lived in Germany for several years. Europeans don't mind sootier air. That's why Euro standards are easier to pass.

  • Diesel Electric Hybrid = great idea... but 2-3K more for the engine, 2-3K more to meet US NOx standards; and 2-3K more for the battery = 6-9K more for car. 6K still buys a lot of gas.

  • Very good stuff, wow I didn't know about all this stuff before. CO2 should be a higher concern should it not? All in all VERY FRESH!!! Thanks
