It's funny how the two last comments contradict themselves!
I like the performance though! The voice has a very dark color which makes the phrases heavy. I think I would prefer a lighter version. but good job anyway!

Completely the wrong type of voice, and the pronounciation is terrible!

Ce que j'apprécie dans cette interprétation- hormis le fait que cette chanteuse me rappelle étrangement un merveilleux mezzo de ma classe de chant qui chanta cette aria avec succés en concours en 1982 dans un tempo plus lent- c'est qu'elle chante le texte original avec la bonne prononciation: " Quae moerebat et dolebat, pia mater..."

Emma Kirkby and James Bowman are the example of how to perform this music. Operatic voice unfortunately is not suitable - like performing Bach on Yamaha electronic keyboard...
