  • Being happy on this earth and fulfilling the lustful desires of the flesh is not the good news of salvation. Being a Christian is not always fun and excitement, you will get mocked for what you believe in, you will be under intense scrutiny from people who refuse to believe the God of scripture. The God people want conforms to peoples sinful lifestyles and they don't want to give those things up. The God of scripture ask's you to repent of sins and turn away from the desires of the flesh.

  • It's important to remember that a positive Christian message is such because it contains the Redemptive Truth of Jesus Christ. That's not dwelling on past sin and putting onesself through false guilt; Jesus took the penalty. It's knowing that we Do have high potential, but it's about our sanctification much more than our blessings. The sanctification IS the greater blessing, but it involves an awareness and forsaking of sin, and a forsaking of all worldly things in hot pursuit of Jesus.

  • Wow now i am sure his critics r wrong

  • @MyHunnyBunnyNora ::: Super comment ! I agree. God is love, He is all in all. I believe true religion is taught in Micah 6:8.

  • @gvillota92 ::: You need to read Bart Ehman's book "God's Problem", all about suffering.

  • the gospel is good news. Joel Osteen is right. It says in the Bible that it's the goodness of God that causes man to repent. Why do Christians want him to preach about sin when Jesus paid for all our sins. What's wrong with telling them the good news? He is an encourager. People are jealous.

  • Thank you.

  • @QuietJuggler

Thanx 4 dis. I needed to read this comment. It's the truth. Thnx.

  • Joel Osteen message is good, i'm sure he helped many people turn to Chirst but at the end of the day we are suppose to suffer just like Jesus did, We take part in his suffering but in the End we should follow The Father Though Jesus. Can i get an amen lol.

  • amen. REDEMPTION. SALVATION through the atonement of Jesus. blessings (prosperity) is just a bonus, praise God to that. BELIEVERS, SAINTS, CHRISTIANS, let us not argue with words, or even judge a person, we do not know the whole story, only God knows. the best thing to do is to pray for each other, and LOVE, just as God loved us :)

  • What the "christian critics" do is show how much of their human sinfulness and anger and jealously, small-mindedness, judgemental frame of mind. They do not know Jesus. If they did, the fruit of the Holy Spirit would be evident in their LIVES AND WORDS. "Rylucero" is typical of a dead letter. He is devoid of the life of Jesus and thinks God is all about woe and abomination. The Acceptable Year of The Lord is foreign to these guys. They hate Jesus' love. It exposes their hatred for humanity.

  • You will notice than none of the "critics" will quote Jesus, "Fear not little flock, for it is the Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom." "Rylucero" would never quote any words of Jesus like, "He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." or "Abide in My love." You know why? Its because they do not know Jesus at all. They have no love because they are not in HIM. They are critical loveless bags of wind that have no clue what they are doing
