you are aware that any art made after oh say 1950 is post modern...i hate hipsters as much as you do since i am a hardworking artist, and i see them getting more of their crappy art getting into the bars and venues in my town, because their friends are the bartenders, etc. not that it ever sells to anyone except their circle of friends. lol

Thats the irony of it (if you'll excuse the hipster terminology lol). They think they're deep and artistic because they listen to music that claims to be deep, they wear clothing that they believe is countercultural and "edgy" (even though they've made it a fashionable industry standard), and they claim to be "poor and starving :'(". Chances are none of them have experienced more pain than being made fun of in high school, yet they're the representatives of artists today. How saddening.
