Mercedes é indescritível. É só fechar os olhos e deixar que "La Negra" adentre delicadamente nossa alma, e nos ofereça o calor da sua bem-aventurada companhia. Tive a honra de apertar sua mão no final de um show em Belo Horizonte no início dos anos 80. Dela emanava uma energia, uma beleza, mística. Que riqueza significou em minha vida ter sido apresentado às suas canções ainda na pré-adolescência. Louvo a Deus por isso.
