About Windrider
Windrider began its life as the home studio project of seventeen year old Elliot Vernon in 2008. After a number of small demos and individual songs, Windrider eventually found its own sound and the debut EP was released in April 2009. Critically acclaimed by the underground folk and Viking metal scene, 'Muspelheim' brought Elliot's music to new heights and popularity. The demand to see the music performed live prompted the creation of a live line-up, and Windrider first came to the stage in October 2009. Elliot began writing and recording the follow-up to Muspelheim, Windrider's debut album 'To New Lands...' towards the end of 2009, and the album was released in March 2010. After line-up changes, Windrider are now more confident than ever and are rehearsing the new material for live shows in 2010!

  • fucking badass!!

  • This song is great, amazing melodies and a killer voice too. To the guy who said this is ruining proper metal, that attitude is what gives us a bunch of shitty metallica-clone bands that can't write music for shit. To the guy that said growling takes no talent, this style of singing takes much more practice than the style of singing that Metallica, Disturbed, Pantera and other mainstream metal bands use, plus alot of rap too. I do like Metallica and them too btw, just stating the truth.

  • Goddamn, half the people commenting are idiots. Growling vocals actually require practice to sound good. Despite your ignorant opinions, it's possible to suck at doing them. Besides, Windrider's songs have singing too. He composes, records, and mixes all of this himself, but harsh vocals makes him talentless?

  • @Cone419 if Windrider ever needs a replacement singer, they can pretty much ask any guy on the planet whos gone through puberty to make growley noises into the mic for them.

  • @outlawtorndoa So what? Opera singers also use different type of singing than regular. Music is about all preference. If you don't feel it, nobody can explain to you why is this music so good.

  • genius=puking into the mic?

  • Yes, yes it is. traditioninaction? bullshit in action. metal doesn't have to involve satanism. thats just a viewpoint from a close minded dick like yourself, who actully doesn't have the mental capacity to respect and love more genres than the one that, at the moment, you enjoy beause you think it makes you cool. fag.

  • One of the best folk metal bands out there, Elliot Vernon is a real genius Windrider totally kicks ass!!!! Greets from Mexico.

  • nice and melodic : ) I like this

  • this is the worst piece of shit i have ever come across. grow some fucking balls and stop ruining proper metal with this folk bullshit, you fucking fags! peace!.
