Wow! In Canada, I've never seen so many roundabouts in such a small distance. I guess roundabouts are much more popular in Europe.

Am I right in thinking you run the screen on the recorder while riding? Its the only way I can think you knew to clean the lens :)

As for the right foot, I try to stop with the left foot down most of the time, because that allows me to hold the bike with the rear brake while standing. But if I want to turn right and it's going to be a small turn, for some reason I automatically put down the right foot.

1. Yes I know what you mean but I think I will stay left to maximise lights in mirrors, works well when filtering too.
2. To be fair why didnt the taxi pull back in? There was no indication to say he was gonig to turn right.
3. I agree better to cover rear brake, better for pulling away on slope. Pupil had an uphill pullaway at roudabout before DKs, awkward while holding front brake.

Reply from the rider in the vid,
1 lane positioning, no room for error if a vehicle suddenly maneuvers into your lane, if gives both you and the driver time to react,
2 the taxi had stopped to do a u turn ,
3 right foot down, dont understand apart from the right foot operating the rear brake to stop you rolling back but you have a hand brake for that. In my case I had a serve broken left ankle on two occasions and instinct tells me to use that particular foot

Great vid & comms
Have a few questions
When I ride in the outside lane I tend to position bike to the left so traffic on left is more likely to see me in their mirror.
Pupil is over to the right, do you think this increases risk of being in a blind spot?
Why undertake taxi? Not saying there is anything wrong with it but thought you would say why.
When pupil stopped he put his right foot down? Would you have pointed it out or was the purpose to just cover forward observations and planning?

1. Never thought - I like the idea of riding to the left, but have you considered by being over to the right you are away from the danger and you can react sooner.
2. Ah ! The Taxi, I thought that would get a comment. I shouldn't have done it, but I need to get the camera footage. Not something I would do, but it was safe.
3. Right foot down - No problem, I can see no problem in using any foot. I was brought up to always stop with left foot down, WHY ! Roadcraft is only a guide.
