The Lamp - Stop Motion

This piece was for my open brief prject at the Bristol School of Animation (UWE), I completed pretty much all of the animation and editing within one fairly stressful night with absolutely no sleep, but it all worked out in the end.

I was basically just playing around with the lighting and shadows given by the various movements of a lamp exploring my room.

I used my Nikon D70 DSLR camera to shoot this which made it a lot trickier as you recieve no live video feed from that variety of camera, however there is no way I would have been able to get a decent result from my standard mini DV camcorder in those dark conditions.

I know that this must have taken you hours of less to make this, I've done a stop motion like this before, but nothing as good as yours; very well made, I'm sure your proud, I would be :D

This reminded me of 'Wall.E', a robotic character exploring it's surroundings, what things are and how they work. Nice!
