TIME IN A BOTTLE: Back to the Shores of Tamurong, Candon City, Philippines! I remember when I was in high school, I really did experiment on throwing a bottle with a cork stopper into this seashore. I do not exactly know what I was hoping to achieve back then, but i remember writing my name and my address on a sheet of paper and putting it inside the bottle. I watched the brown tinted bottle float away for a while, tossed by small waves and ripples of water.

I must have been aware back then of the meaning of possibilities. And I was doing it as a sign of my openness to those possibilities.

Whether the bottle actually eventually sank into the deep waters of South China Sea, or reached a different shore, or just drifted into the next barrio and was broken so that the paper simply turned into dregs on sea water, it does not matter to me anymore. But it matters that I do remember doing it, and feeling positive about all the possibilities in life. Looking back now, many of the possibilities have already been achieved, while others are now lost and eliminated. Such is life. We wade through possibilities, gathering some to ourselves, and leaving others behind. Only through this do we define our individuality, and build our character and person. Without choosing in a sea of possibilities, we are simply generic individuals, floating without a reason for being.

It's good to be back to the shores of Tamurong!

  • Nice..it reminds me again about that place and will never forget those days I was with my special friend last year and in the past..although not familiar with tamurong. I miss you my friend wherever you are...sorry for everything! I will never forget those happy moments together..but we have to move on..you will always have a special place in my heart...forever..

Thank you sunny for posting this video about Candon City and hope that you will continue posting ..Best Regards from California

  • @MrBongbongl26 Ahhh cool. So you know someone from Candon City? Blessings to you, and thanks for stopping by and visiting my other videos too. Stay in touch.

  • Beautiful voice, thank you for choosing this song. Some people say we chose our parents before we are born, and plan the lessons we need to learn while we are here. Many people have a feeling that they will not live a long life. Jim Croce created wistful, poignant songs such as Time in a Bottle and Photographs & Memories which in retrospect, appeared as if he knew his life would not be very long.

  • @heavnnnsent Thanks you for that beautiful comment. Jim Croce left big footprints that have expressed the deepest truths about all of us, in such beautiful music. What can I say... even beyond his death, he continues to teach and to point to eternal realities, that i pray he fully enjoys now.

I give you my respect and my friendship. Thank you for your kind words... your username says it a lot!

  • I like your writing in the "more" section of this download. I share you outlook on life.

  • This is quite a late response, but i want you to know that i appreciate it. It is good to know i'm not alone in my outlook in life. Take care.

  • Thanks again for this video i really miss this place

  • @sunnycastillo Yeah, it's a late response, but I re-read what I responded to and think, yeah, that's so right. We all have to find our calling in life. I found my calling but have gotten temporarily haulted and diverted. I'm fighting to get back on course and it's a serious battle, about as serious as you find in life. But again, it's important not to be "generic individuals" as so many people are.

  • Thank you! I am grateful to God every day that i can share it to others, and even use it for prayer in my ministry. God bless you.

  • God gave you a beautiful voice!

  • thanks... but what does this mean? "perhaps try being yourself more" i think you mean to not act out the song... i was just in the mod to do that here, but you might wanna check the other videos when i am "just being myself". :) i appreciate the suggestion. have a great season.
