  • Hello Jim, I just become an associate YouTuber and have just come across your video while replying to Geriatric 1927(Peter) You mentioned you would like to hear about the wartime experiences of children. I was 5 years old at the outbreak. Cheerio Denis

  • Thanks again Jim! I am slowly making my way through your videos (one every couple of days) and your stories are fascinating. I love hearing them.

    Take care,

    William

  • I first heard about the "separation" thing as a kid, when I read "Narnia"; then learned more about the effects of WW1 on people, when I read about Tolkien's world and influences. Those two wars certainly defined and changed life for our parents' generation and the one a bit before them. Thanks Jim - you're bringing this to people who might not have been aware of it otherwise; and maybe they'll be inspired to find out more. Keep em' coming! ;-)

  • If you need any help getting pictures up, I can help you if you don't have any help already. Just message me or send an email to me asking about it (my email: ChibiX17@hotmail.com).

This was interesting to listen to, and I hope you do more!

  • Jim, thank you for answering the question about whether parents were with you, or you were alone. Plus..you added some great tidbits about the children running away, making a game of it all (that's what children do, of course)..Looking forward to more...You certainly beat television, that's for sure..

  • im really looking forward to part 8 jim. cant wait for it.

  • Sorry,Jim, video went faulty after 3minutes so didn't see other 7 :-(

  • thank god your back! and with improved sound :) thank you for your wonderful stories, "a dash for freedom"-very funny, rather ironic that you were acting like POW's... can't wait till the next episode!

  • really interesting story. i like to lsiten to "your hi"story".i am looking forward to your pictures.
