SNP - A Warning from History.

I came to Britain as a refugee from Yugoslavia in the 1990s. I made my new home in Scotland and early on I was aware of the various forms the English/Scots rivalry took. Last year I was having a drink in Perth and I overheard delegates from the SNP conference talking about their hatred of the English, how they wanted to drive them out of Scotland and made the country 'pure'. This shocked and upset me, it reminded me of the ethnic murdering I had escaped and so I made this film.

As a Scot of Chinese descent I have no such worries. The debate is about the principle of subsidiarity, whether or not Scotland can govern herself better as an independent nation and not about race.

Look man, massive respect for enduring what your country had to endure back then. But you can't equate Scottish nationalism with that kind of ethnocentricity. It speaks nothing worthwhile on what is a legitimate cause. To do so would require ignoring history, political geography, economics and all things few and far between. There is no model for nationalism or independence. This is no hard science and every country should be analysed with regards to their own circumstances. Peace, Alba gu bràth

quicker we get independece the better why can other Countries in the world get independence and we can't ?

Scottish Independence is a dream, nothing more. Westminster would never allow Scottish Independence and would most likely use force to prevent such a referendum from actually going through, regardless of the PM's views on the matter. Scotland would have a hard time finding allies because western countries usually only recognize separatist movements when they despise the country being separated from.
